First-Time Home Buyers Program:  Assists low-to-moderate income SC families and individuals by offering a competitive market fixed interest rate mortgage loans; Offers down payment assistance based on availability, which may be used toward down payment and closing costs

Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCV) Program:  Federal government program for assisting very low income families – provided on behalf of the family or individual, participants are able to find and rent privately owned housing

Consumer/Finance – Bankruptcy/debtor relief (chapter 7 &13 to save a home, car, or medically necessary equipment, or where there is substantial harassment from creditors affecting mental and/or physical well-being of client); collection including repossession/deficiency/garnishment where the client has been served with pleading or property has been repossessed or where the client disputes the debt or the amount of the debt, contacts/warranties; creditor practices/harassment; predatory lending practices;  public utilities; unfair sales practices; etc.

Education – Ensure and maintain access—expulsion and suspension; special education; access—bilingual, residency, testing, enrollment, vocational rehabilitation, student financial aid; etc.

Employment – Employment discrimination, wage claims, EITC, other taxes, employee rights, wrongful termination, problems preventing employment (such as driver’s license suspension), etc.
