Early Head Start:  Serves pregnant women, infants, and toddlers up to age 3, working to help meet their needs during this time of development

Youth Leadership Program (YLP):  Provides new options and opportunities for positive development to youths, grades 9th to 12th, who are deficient in basic literacy skills, requiring additional assistance

Hope Center for Children

Formed when the Ellen Hines Smith Girls' Home and the Children Shelter of the Upstate, combined forces to provide a broader array of services to meet the needs of children and families in our community

Service

Anchor House:  Around-the-clock care in a safe, home-like environment where girls, 11 to 19 years old, may heal from abuse or neglect and gain skills that help them succeed (Girls throughout South Carolina may be referred.)

Transitional Living:  Offers safe shelter for young men and women ages 16 to 21 and includes case management and support through 22 years old as skills needed to live independently are gained (This program serves youth who are aging out of the foster care system or have no safe place to live as they move toward adulthood.)

Faucette House:  Provides emergency shelter where children may be placed when they must be removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect – for boys and girls from birth to 19 years old; Ensures basic needs of the children are met, along with love and support to stabilize children during their time of trauma; Open 24/7

Family Strengthening:  Provides in-home intensive support, skill building and crisis intervention that increase family health.  Many families are served through this program—parents and children who have severe emotional or behavioral disorders.

Empowering Families:  Provides in-home assessments with a focus on case management and stabilizing families, connecting stressed and often isolated families with needed resources  (These families have risk factors that increase the odds of their children experiencing abuse or neglect; this program provides preventative support to intervene before abuse takes place.)
