 Harbor of Hope (Miracle Hill)

Services: shelter for victims of abuse, designated shelter for the homeless, a centralized facility to coordinate between health providers, social workers, homeless families, abused women and their children, homeless elderly men and women, and people in need. The agency also provides three meals everyday, laundry facilities, Christian counseling, clean clothing and vital link to health, human services and other community agencies.

 Miracle Hill Rescue Mission

Service: shelter for homeless men, women and children; provides three meals a day, clothing, Christian counseling, referral for housing, referral for substance abuse, and a work-start program. Once a month, offers a free medical clinic providing vision, dental, and medical exams for clients and the surrounding community.

Salvation Army – Anderson

Services: Emergency relief, food, clothing, fuel, transient relief (lodging and food) for stranded families, boys and girls club.
Exception/ Criteria: Transient families are men and women in the area and emergency relief is for families in the local area. must provide disconnection notice; picture ID, SS card for everyone in the family, proof of income, and a list of all expenses (for financial help). Must have a police escort after 10:00 p.m.

 Salvation Army – Greenville

Services: helps with utilities, rent; provides clothing, transitional housing, food, emergency shelter for men and women, helps with prescriptions, transportation. ** Does not pay deposits for utilities or rent.
Exception/ Criteria: need cut off notice or eviction notice to receive help. Must have proof of address, proof of income, and Social Security card for every individual in the household, photo identification for the head of household.
